Whereas, the State of Nevada, Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Healthcare Financing and Policy (DHCFP) and the UNLV Center for Health Information Analysis (CHIA) are public agencies within the meaning of NRS 277.100; and
whereas, NRS 277.180 authorizes any one or more public agencies to contract with any one or more other public agencies to perform any governmental service, activity or undertaking which any of the public agencies entering into the contract is authorized by law to perform;
it has been deemed necessary and desirable to DHCFP to contract the services of CHIA in the collection, and analysis of patient billings claims data from the Nevada hospitals and Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC's) pursuant to NRS 449.485 and NAC 449.951-449.969. Final Revision of 449.485. R151-8
NRS 449.490 Financial statements and reports required to be filed with Department; additional reporting requirements for hospitals with 100 or more beds; availability of complete current charge-master.
Every institution which is subject to the provisions of NRS 449.450 to 449.530, inclusive, shall file financial statements or reports with the Department, in a form and at intervals specified by the Director, but at least annually.
